At present, straws are the common product in any city and any country, but while straws bring convenience to people's lives, the increasing number of plastic straws and similar products that are carelessly discarded is beginning to burden the environment. Under the pressure of environmental protection and plastic limit, conventional straws face challenges and are eliminated, and environmentally-friendly straws replace them urgently. Green and environmentally-friendly PLA biodegradable straws and paper straws have emerged.
PLA biodegradable straws are the new kind of biodegradable material, using renewable plant resources to refine starch, and raw materials of starch get glucose by saccharification, and then glucose will become lactic acid with high purity after fermentation by bacteria, and PLA with high molecular weight is obtained by synthesis method, and then biodegradable straws with good performance will be made after processing and molding.
Paper straws are made of food-grade paper. They can be completely degraded by microorganisms in nature after use, eventually generating carbon dioxide and water, which can directly enter the soil and become organic matter to be absorbed by plants. This process will not cause the greenhouse effect and environmental pollution.
(1)The material is natural, non-toxic and has high permeability, which will not release any harmful substances to human health.
(2)They can be completely decomposed by microorganisms after use through composting environment and burial treatment. They will not have any impact on the environment.
(3)They can replace traditional plastic straws with petroleum as raw material. They have the same usage and are more environmentally friendly and healthier.
(4)Due to the higher cost of environmentally-friendly straws than plastic straws, their prices are slightly higher.
(1) The tolerance temperature of PLA straws biodegradable is between -10℃ and 80℃, which is close to that of traditional plastic straws. And PLA straws biodegradable have good stability and no plasticizer.
(2)The tolerance temperature of paper straws is between -10℃ and 40℃. When the temperature exceeds 40℃, paper straws are easy to dissolve, which will affect the taste of food, but the color is richer.
