GoodBioPak Has Obtained HACCP and ISO 22000:2018 Certification

Oct 26 , 2021

With the development of economic globalization and the improvement of social civilization, people are paying more and more attention to food safety. In order to make the production of the enterprise more standardized and standardized, Jiulian Biology applied to the National Certification and Accreditation Administration for certification of the HACCP system and the ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system.

HACCP System and the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System

HACCP

In order to further improve the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system certification (hereinafter referred to as HACCP system certification) system and standardize the HACCP system certification work, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Certification and Accreditation", etc., CNCA has formulated the "Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) System Certification Implementation Rules" and "Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) System Certification Basis and Certification Scope (First Batch)", since May 2012 Implemented from the 1st of the month.

What is HACCP?

HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) HACCP represents the critical control point of hazard analysis. Ensuring the safety of raw materials, production, processing, manufacturing, preparation, etc. of products is a scientific, rational and systematic approach in hazard identification, evaluation and control.

The HACCP system not only ensures the safety of the raw materials of PLA polylactic acid straws produced by Jiulian Bio, but also can better supply consumers with the control of major product hazards such as microbial, chemical and physical pollution during the production process of straws. The operator provides the safety and quality assurance of the product and reduces the harm in the production process of the straw.

ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System

The goal of ISO 22000 is to harmonize the requirements for global food safety management. The standard helps ensure food safety throughout the food supply chain. Issued on June 19, 2018.

What is a food safety management system?

The ISO 22000:2018 system is both a guideline for use describing the requirements of a food safety management system and a basis for certification and registration of organizations that produce, operate and supply food. The system has extensively absorbed the basic principles and process methods of the ISO 9001 quality management system, and is also the enrichment and improvement of the principles of the HACCP system.

The ISO 22000:2018 system establishes a clearer and more detailed traceability system. A traceability system has been established in every key link from the PLA polylactic acid raw material supplier to the customer's receipt of goods to ensure that the delivered products can use the traceability system to display production information in a timely and complete manner. To withdraw defective products in a timely manner, minimize and eliminate the harm of unsafe products to consumers.

New Study : PLA does not Produce Persistent Microplastics
A new comprehensive study commissioned by Holland Bioplastics on June 25 concluded that the basic properties and hydrolysis of polylactic acid (PLA), a biobased polymer made exclusively from fermented plant sugars, indicate that PLA does not produce persistent microplastics. The literature study, conducted by research laboratory HYDRA Marine Sciences, shows that while non-biodegradable polymers persist and accumulate permanently in the environment in the form of nano- or microplastics, PLA hydrolyzes into smaller and smaller molecules that dissolve in water and ultimately biodegrade completely.
